While chasing down the Godzulla breakaway during yesterday's CCC B + group ride, 3 of us overran the right hand turn onto Pleasant Renner Rd and landed onto a 2 mile stretch of milled roadway leading into Cozadale.
One of the Bulldogs laid the hammer down and plowed thru the entire milled section in full attack mode followed by Godzulla while I bailed out onto Morrow Cozadale Rd.
If headed Northeast, the milled section begins at Fryberger Rd in Cozadle and continues onto Roadchester Cozadale Rd and stops where Pleasant Renner Rd resumes eastward towards SR 132.
In closing, I am very impressed with the Continental GP 5000s (32mm) durability on milled tarmac surfaces. At home, I thoroughly inspected the tires under bright LED light and found no evidence that they traversed 1.5 miles of deeply knurled milled roadway.
Retro out.
