Hi Tom!
Would you have a working large oven heating element for the 1960 Custom Imperial Flair?
Several folks on the Facebook group Fans of the Frigidaire Flair are having problems finding one.
Here's the link if you are on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/groups/frigidaireflair/

Thank you for considering,
Carol

Hey Carol!!

Hope all is well

I believe the oven elements for 1960 are the same through 1963 for sure
after that I am not sure, but yes, I have plenty of old used working large elements
so I will look up the people who need them and see what I can do.

I still have 4 working flairs, two double and two single, and boxes of old parts

We're all getting a little older, I hope people are stocking up on parts, it's going to get harder
to find parts for these things, and we want to keep them from the crusher.

I get people who want to fly me to their home to fix their Flair, it may be time to start getting
specialized. Anyway

Good to hear from you, talk to you soon, take care, hug a flair

best regards

Tom Nichols

Hello Fellow Flair Fans,

I have a 40” Custom Deluxe Frigidaire Flair, model #RCDB 640 with the double oven and the under stove cabinet which I no longer need.  I grew up with it at my folk’s house.  I have lots of fond memories of this Flair, so I’d like to see it go to a good home instead of the scrap yard or, at least, for someone to be able to use it for parts to keep another Flair going.

Everything was working when I took it out of the house for a remodel before we sold it.  We rented out the house for a couple of years, so it needs a good cleaning.

I’m in Seattle. There used to be a place in town here called Dave’s Appliance Service.  He would restore them and sell them for people who wanted an authentic stove for their mid-century modern homes, which we have a lot of here in Seattle.  Unfortunately, he’s no longer in business, but if someone knows how to reach him, maybe he’d be interested in it?

I don’t know how I could ship it, so someone would probably need to pick it up.  I’ve had it stored in my garage for a couple of years hoping to find a use for it, but it’s time for it to go.

If anyone’s interested, please let me know.

Cordially,

John

To all Frigidaire Flair Fans:  I have two Flair double-ovens with attached base from early 1960's. Both with all glass and knobs intact. Both must be gone from property in Knoxville, TN before Friday 9/30. For free to anyone interested, but you will have to move them. Perfect for anyone interested in restoring them, or to harvest for parts. Otherwise they are going to the junk yard. I loved my Flairs and have so many wonderful memories of cooking with my mom, but they have to go. Please contact me immediately if interested. ❤️💔

Good morning, all,

I'm sorry if I'm highjacking an email thread... please feel free to point me in the right direction to start my own?

I no longer have an ID tag on my Flair. How can I tell what year it is? I have two non-working burners. Does that mean I need a new pull out bottom piece?

LOVE my Flair and you bet I hug it  🤗

Cassie

Good to hear from you Tom!
Yes, I am holding on to parts from my old K to use for the '62-B when needed :)
These old appliances are true gems!!

Hope you can help those FB folks!

Do you have a 1968 control panel picture, or the owners manual, or even a Tech Talk for that year?

Have a wonderful day!
Carol
