libspad.so vs libspad.a

Hello,

Are there some strong raisons to use a static libspad.a for GCL but a dynamically loaded libspad.so for SBCL or Clozure CL?

There are strong reasons to use dynamically loaded libspad.so for
SBCL or Clozure CL: they do not support static linking.
In case of ECL and GCL we use static linking beacause it is simpler.
