Dear Sir/Madam,
I am using the freesound api to download a large number of audio, but I am now facing a problem,
"Rate limit exceeded. Retrying in 2 seconds...
Failed to download or convert sound 251227: [Errno 2] No such file or directory: 'freesound_audio/251227_temp/bidf543__loop_150bpm_by_OnlyTheGhosts.ogg'
Rate limit was exceeded. Retrying in 2 seconds..."

It looks like I have reached the limit of requests. I would like to know how to solve this problem because I am recently building a dataset, thanks!
Sincerly,
Fang Duo Tsai

Hi,

You should probably download sounds at a smaller rate, although I'm not sure where does this "rate limit exceeded" message comes from as I don't think our API would return it (although we do rate limit and return HTTP 429 messages). You're probably using some intermediate client which you should be able to configure so it reduces the download rate.

Cheers,

frederic
