I am new to icestudio and noticed that I don't have the menu items on right of menu bar that one sees in most youtube tutorials.

How are they added?

Hi!

Have a look at the first animated gif in the Icestudio documentation wiki. A hello world circuit is built in a few seconds:

The components are located in the default collection that is not placed in the menu bar in the newer versions. Rather it is located in a new panel on the right, that is not shown by default

Best regards,
Juan

When Icestudio is installed, there is only one collection with few components: the default collection
There are more collections available. You have to install them manually

Have a look at the documentation of the collection icek, which contains constants and hello word circuits for testing:

Installing collections in just one click is a feature that is still missing in Icestudio, but it is in my todo list

Best regards,
Juan
