Hi everyone,

I’m putting together a repo to create a catalog of useful apps and tools for hardware and software development. The idea is to keep an open catalog that the community can keep growing.  Here’s the repo: https://github.com/lmcapacho/open-hardware-software

If you know any apps or tools worth adding, or want to contribute in any way, feel free to jump in - all contributions are welcome!

Great initiative! I'll take a look and see if I can think of anything that isn't already there.

I would add sigrok to that list:

It is a very useful open source waveform viewer and protocol analyser.

It is very powerful and useful.

Kind regards

Alex.

Hi Alex,

Thanks for the recommendation! I added sigrok-cli and PulseView as separate entries to keep the repository structure consistent, since sigrok is a full project.

Hi Luis Miguel!  maybe could be interesting this:

https://qucs.sourceforge.net/screenshots.html

I'm using a lot to simulate analog circuits.

Thank you for the initiative! I think it's fantastic. There's so much software to add, I'm compiling a list of the tools I usually use and sending them to you in an organized way. Would you prefer I send it to you here or should I create a pull request in the project?

Thanks Carlos! I’d prefer a pull request so we can encourage collaboration directly in the repository.
