Hello guys,

As you may know, i like FPGA for making sound!
Benitos already made a nice i2c block for playing with UDA1334A I2S Stereochip

But as i found this other one interesting too, i ordered last night a new toy from Germany !

What is nice:
- an  AK4619VN codec with 4 in, 4 outs ( audio channels, 192KHz / 32bit sampling , -8V to +8V swing )
remark: This voltage levels are too high for just being connected to headphones you need some additional hardware to bring down the volume !
So think before purchasing this !

- plenty of code is available ready to use in github

- there is a computer simulator which allows you to simulate the verilog code inside a verilator module inside VCVrack (a modular synthetiser simulator software)
So we do not need to have this hardware module, nor an fpga board if we want to test this!

i will let you know when i start playing with it (converting verilog code to icestudio blocks), but i am already very exited :-) !

Have a nice evening!

Wow!! I love electronic music and generative music is something that interests me a lot Joaquim, open all the threads you want and count on me!

A few years ago, interested in this type of thing, I was developing a software synthesizer based on subtractive algorithms, I enjoyed it very much, but it was just a small toy as an experiment, I have always wanted to take it up again but I have never seen the opportunity.

Go ahead and tell us and I will do everything I can to help and I will try to learn as much as possible from what you tell us.

Thanks for the information and energy!

I'm looking forward to seeing how you put it into practice. When we talked about I2S in the past I was left wanting to see more examples. I tried to do something, but I couldn't continue. I will be attentive to your contributions to see if I somehow learn something from all this.

Sweet dreams!

Little update,
I got yesterday my parcel from Sebastian the "Berlinner" (he joined beautifully photos of the cold-war abandoned NSA spy station)

So, some fun work ahead to make icestudio blocks (with sebastian's verilog code) for icestudio.

Have a great week end guys!

Look closely at the dashboard, if there is a chip that says "Stasi", it is a spy chip!

Jokes aside, everything looks great!
