Can any one here guide me with the registration of apartment owners association .We have a DOD registred ithe registrars office under KAOA with all the bye laws. Bu the Registrar on coopeartive socitey (Mangalore) under whom Association  has to be registered says they cannot register the association. Please guide me in this regard.

Submitting DOD and DOA in the Registrar Office completes the process. You need to follow the KAOA provisions to manage your association.

Hi,

   Pls reach out Mr Anil Kalgi (CCed) for details on the registration process. You're right - the association has to be a co-op society and that'd enable conveyance of common areas from builder to the association.

Dr. Pavitran, 

Please read the KOFA laws, specially section 7 and rules 9.

Kaoa comes into effect only after conveyance of common areas and amenities vide a conveyance deed. 

KAOA is only a procedural law.
