Hello everyone,
Some are wondering if this group is still active. If this message gets to anyone, maybe the group could be used as a place of discussion regarding the latest DCR plans for the river. Regards, Patricia Ahern 10 Riverside St

Yes, I like this idea, Patricia.
I don’t know who the moderator is, Lisa

I went to the DCR meeting, which I thought was good, but I came away without finding out what’s going on in the fenced-in and covered-up area in the grassy area on the river side of Charles River Rd between Irving St and Priest Rd – what’s going on behind the curtain?  Anybody know?  Re-grading?

That’s the construction staging ground, where the equipment and materials (including large rocks) are being kept.

The FOTWR group hasn’t met for years.  I forget who was behind organizing it - maybe Watertown Community Foundation?

That’s the staging area for all the supplies and equipment needed for the work. It will be restored to grass I assume. Peter

Hello former neighbors!

Yes, the Watertown Community Foundation is the owner/moderator of this group.  They should have the password to manage it.

You could start by reaching out to in...@watertownfoundation.org. As many of you know, Jan Singer is Executive Director and the Board Co-Presidents are David Siegel and Darshna Varia.  I believe Darshna may know something about this group.

All the best,

Seems to me we are a special interest group.  I don’t see why WCF would be involved as they have plenty to do.  I forward this to Jan Singer, director.  John Hawes
