Help for app that crashes on launch

Hi everyone, 

I am looking for someone who might be able to help me look through the source code for an app that I wrote. 

It works on my phone before uploading it onto Google Play but downloads from the Play store direct crash repeatedly on launch across all devices tested. This is testing my wits!!!! 

 

Please let me know if you are interested. 

I can put the code on a private repo or you could let me know how you want to work. 

If it is a factor for you, I'd be pleased to discuss compensation as well!

I faced the same issue. Two things solved for me. 

1) Have you given the required permissions.

2)  you have to built for release example: flutter build ios to create a release build (flutter build defaults to --release).

It sounds like the same issue I had. It turned out to be the .apk for me. The only thing that worked was from this git issue https://github.com/flutter/flutter/issues/32191.  Laxman-Kumar's comment on 12 Jun 2019. Copied it below

 

"add following line app level build.gradle ndk.abiFilters 'armeabi-v7a','arm64-v8a','x86','x86_64' run flutter build apk --release --target-platform=android-arm upload 32bit version to play store increment versionCode in pubspec.yaml run flutter build apk --release --target-platform=android-arm64 upload 64bit version to play store"

I will reach out to each of you in the next few days once I sort out the code here. I just converted it to AndroidX and the problem seems to have only gotten worse! 

If there is anyone else who is interested please reach out to us. I'd love a comrade in arms, but also if it matters to you, compensate for your time too.

Hi Lila,

I’d suggest using Crashlytics (free) which will log crashes to Firebase along with things you can collect prior to the crashes. That should help you debug where the issue might occur.
