Another problem with Grading By Hand

Dear Flubaroo Team,

I posted about this hand grading problem a year ago (5/16/2025). Although it was resolved then, it has reoccurred. 

The scoring window at the bottom of the Grade Questions By Hand feature disappears once the question and answer are loaded (see screenshot). I have reloaded Google, rebooted, resized the window; nothing has changed.

Please check this situation. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

The problem may be that your browser is zoomed in. Try hitting Control and the 0 (zero) key at the same time to zoom to the default level while on that page.

Note: On a Mac, use the Command key instead of the Control key.

Hi Dave,

Thanks for the suggestion. I tried to adjust the screen size with Command+0, but nothing changed. I also tried reloading Flubaroo, but I can't use the grade by hand feature. I need to complete my scoring soon, so I might need to literally do all of this by hand so my students can get their scores before the next test.

Any other advice, please let me know. Thanks in advance.

Would you mind sharing your Google Sheet with flubar...@edcode.org? I will take a look and see if I can reproduce the issue.

Hello Dave,

I've made a copy of my students' quiz answers with the simple multiple choice answers already scored. I set it so you should have editing access with the email you sent.

I use a MacBook Air and Google Drive for my classes. I don't know if this makes a difference.

Hi Mary -

The issue was that the "Set Points" button was getting pushed down such that it wasn't visible in the window anymore. 

I have updated the code so this shouldn't happen anymore. It can take some time before such changes propagate, so I recommend waiting at least a few hours and reloading the spreadsheet. Please let me know if it helps or not.
