take focus without popping window

Hello

Is it possible to give a window focus without popping it? I have a window which I would like to receive keyboard events. FLTK does not always cleanly transfer focus so I explicitly assign focus (Widget::take_focus()) on an enter event which solves the focus problem, but pops the window which is not always desired.
