It’s Matt’s project, and tends to proceed in fits and starts when Matt gets time to work on it.

AFAIK, it “works” but in a somewhat constrained fashion, so you could try it out, but I do not think you could deliver an app with it at this stage.

Hi, yes, the Android port is my project. It has come quite far, and actually many of the demo projects run quite well. It does need a lot of cleanup though to be maintainable, and it will need a more specific Android adaptation, so FLTK apps can react to Android specific conditions.

I have long breaks in my FLTK development thanks to a bunch of private matters. I want to really get back into the Android code, and I am waiting for the opportunity, but I can't give a reliable date for a release or even a prerelease. I will merge a recent addition ASAP: the Android Studio IDE is now constructed by an FLTK app instead of a (convoluted) CMake script.

Thanks for your  work Matthias.  The cmake script works well.  I can add fltk as a subproject in a native Cmake android app and it would just work. The only thing I’ve noticed is the small resolution and the support for multithreading, for which I patch the fltk android system driver to derive from the posix driver, and I copy the x11 thread messaging since I use them.

Thank you Matthias,

I think your project is most interesting and believe I now speak for many.

Looking forward to a release !
