LS.
I find the normal flex menu (system) fontsize and the lexicon fields size (and color) hard to read. After a while it become a strain to the eyes. (see image) Where can these be adjusted (color and size)? (so not talking about the entry field on top  with adjustable styles and font sizes)
Thanks in advance for your help.
Bart.

I’ve had similar issues when working with older native speakers. I was able to change the font size overall in the writing system menu, then in the style/font section. That was a “quick fix” in the moment and I’ve not found another way to adjust it other than setting the display to be zoomed in.

Regards,
Rich

Thanks Rich for the reply. Indeed, the overall fontsize changes, but not the system font size (see image). I had not thought about the windows magnifying glass. Thanks for that. I guess Flex was designed for 15 inch laptop screens and not for the bigger 32 inch+  screens of today ....
A feature request !

Hello Anita, is there a specific style in that list for the system font?

There is a style called “UiElement”, but as I experiment with it just now, it seems to only affect *some* UI elements, not all of them.

It was originally created to facilitate localized User Interfaces for FLEx, in case the language of the localization needed a font that wasn’t getting set automatically.  The primary purpose was to enable non-roman scripts for UI languages to be readable (rather than showing up as boxes).

This style element does have all the usual style options (e.g., size, font, etc.), but when I change the size, I’m only seeing it affect some of the UI Elements, not all of them.

The attached pictures show:
1. Where to find the UiElement style in the Styles dialog (you have to scroll to see the items that are lower than what is showing by default), and which items in that dialog to pay attention to, and
2. the results that I got when I told it to make “Indonesian” larger, when I have the UI set to Indonesian.  Note that there are two kinds of mixed results:  even though I set the UI language to “Indonesian”, not all the UI strings have been translated, so some come out in English and others in Indonesian.  And, independent of what language a given string is in, some are showing up large (I told it to use 24pt for English and 20pt for Indonesian), and others are not.

Thus, this is the feature that I had hoped might help you, but it seems like it doesn’t go far enough.

-Beth
