Installing FieldWorks_9.2.11.1_Offline_x64.exe

Hello everyone,

I’m trying to install FieldWorks Language Explorer 9.2.11 (offline x64), but the installer stops with the message:

“One or more issues caused the setup to fail. Please fix the issues and then retry setup.”

From the installation log, the failure occurs when installing FLEx Bridge (FLExBridge_Offline.exe), which returns error 0x80070643.

I previously had “FLEx Bridge 3 Packages” installed, but it was in a corrupted state and could not be uninstalled normally. I removed it using a forced uninstall tool and cleaned leftover files, then restarted the system, but the installer still fails at the same step.

All required prerequisites (such as .NET Framework and Visual C++ redistributables) appear to be installed.

Please see the attached screenshot of the installer message and the log. Could you advise how to resolve this or install FLEx Bridge separately?

You can install FLExBridge separately from the site at https://software.sil.org/fieldworks/help/using-sendreceive/flex-bridge/.  When FLExBridge won’t uninstall, you can use the troubleshooter at https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/17588/windows-fix-problems-that-block-programs-being-installed-or-removed to uninstall it.
