./configure failure on Mac OSX Sonoma

Hi,

running ./configure on the extracted tar gives:

error: cannot find required auxiliary files: compile config.guess config.sub ltmain.sh missing install-sh

Did someone miss the autoconf files from the package or am I expected to provide them manually?
