Hello All,

As a follow up to Chris’s earlier email, this is to get a response to firm up numbers for the ride next year.  The FIS Tour of Port Fairy commences on Wednesday 19th February and concludes on Sunday 23rd February, 2020.  The first two days involve a ride to Port Fairy.  Next year, we are planning an inland route with Stage 1 going from Ballan to Camperdown and Stage 2 on the Thursday going from Camperdown to Port Fairy.

As we need to organise accommodation for Camperdown, can you let me know if you are planning to do the first two days of the Tour.  This will also help with logistics for getting riders to the start point in Ballan.  We are working on having support vehicles present again like we did in February this year.

For those not doing the ride down,  the main rides are commencing on Friday morning at 8:00 am.  If you will be in Port Fairy by 7:00 pm on the Thursday night, we will again book Conlan’s Wine Bar for dinner.  Let me know if you plan to attend this function.  If you are planning to come and have yet to book accommodation, it might be worth investigating that soon.

I have attached a spreadsheet for you to fill out if you are intending to join the trip.  Can you fill out please? I have listed some names of people I can remember that have indicated they were coming or interested in coming.  The file is shared  in the cloud so you can make changes and they will be saved.

Regards,

Chris Robinson

Hi All,

Following the continuing and growing success of the weekend in Port Fairy this year another is now planned for 2020. Dates Fri 21st – Sun 23rd Feb. Partners are definitely welcome! As always we promise lovely weather for strolling around town, the island, and a possibly a swim at the beautiful East Beach.

Format will be similar to this year with some favourite and new riding adventures planned. The most enthusiastic riders will likely catch the train to Geelong then ride to PF after an overnight stay somewhere in between.

Rough plan

Chris Robbo plays host for a food and wine appreciation night (Conlan’s)

Friday. Others arrive

Dinner to kick off the weekend (Vic Hotel – likely)

Sat am. Ride

Sat Lunch TBC

Sat Dinner. Pizza at Chris and Maryanne’s

Sun am. Ride

Sun Lunch TBC

Depart…. or stay longer!

No numbers needed at this stage, but put it in your diary and we hope to see you there!

Cheers, Chris

I am not aware. Jane has booked a house on East Beach and I am not sure if there is any space left.

Kind Regards,
