Trying to add a selector to an existing rule is really hard

first click to enable "edit mode", then if you click there (not outside, ckeck where's the mouse pointer at the end), then it jumps as if I wanted to add a new property

the only way that I found to edit is that point use the keyboard to change the selection instead of using the mouse.

This is a bug in the DevTools (which Firebug 3 is based on), which already got fixed for Firefox 46. For more info see bug 1198326.

Thank you.

Ah, the good old days when it was possible to update Firebug instead of waiting for a full update of the browser to get fixes.

Yeah, bug fixes still take at least six weeks to get fixed, which is really cumbersome. Though, I think to remember that there was an initiative to allow parts of Firefox to be updated in the future. So, the DevTools might be updated independently from the rest of Firefox at some point.
Having said that, regressions like this one are normally caught before they reach a stable release due to users testing on Beta, DevEdition and Nightly.
