Running Firefox 25.0, Firebug 1.12.4. Seem to have lost Firebug in past 2 days. Have Disabled, Removed and Reinstalled but no sign of it in Add-on bar or RtClick.

Any suggestions welcomed.

That's pretty strange. Disabling and enabling it again should at least make the Inspect Element with Firebug item available inside the page's context menu. Could it be a conflict with another extension? I.e. what happens when you disable the other extensions you have installed?

Removed all other Extensions, no change. Have Uninstalled using RevoUninstaller to completely remove any Registry settings. Reinstalled, same problem.

Having to use Code Inspector. Amazing how you take Firebug for granted until you lose it!

Only thing I haven't yet tried is a System Restore.

Did you also try to create a new Firefox profile and install just Firebug in there?

Wasn't 2 days prior, about when FF 25 was installed?

Had a computer auto-updated to 25 yesturday or day before, and FF
was unable to access the net.

Everything else worked (IE, wget in console, windows update... but FF
wouldn't talk over the  net no matter what it's network settings (monitored
with wireshark).  Eventually did a system restore that put it back at FF24
and told FF not to auto-update anymore...   Time wasted: ~2 hours.

I dont' know why, but FF25 seemed to have some problems.

Well, it was released on the 29th last month. Could be that FF 25 caused that problem.
Personally updating to FF 25 didn't cause any problems for me.

This is something you should let Mozilla know about, so they can fix it.

Though that also avoids you from getting the latest bug fixes and will cause problems with upcoming Firebug versions, which won't be compatible with FF 24 anymore.

A tad late and maybe it's already solved for everybody but it seems like Firefox took it upon itself to "remove" the Firebug icon. I saw that it had disappeared (around this time frame) and after verifying the plugin was installed and up-to-date  I right clicked on the toolbar and chose "Customize" Dragged and dropped the Firebug icon back.
