I mistakenly pasted multiple lines of code in the command line, and got switched to the command editor, and according to the Wiki there should be a red triangle in the bottom right corner, but it does not exist and there does not appear to be any way to get rid of this command editor crap that's taking up too much real estate on my console.

Can you attach a screenshot?
What Firebug version do you use?
Also, there should be a little arrow-button on the right side of the Console panel toolbar.
You can use that button to close the Command Editor too.

The description for the Command Editor was incorrect. In Firebug 2 the red toggle button was removed from the Command Editor. You have to use the Side Panels Toggle Button instead in order to get back to the Command Line. I corrected the wiki article.
