Hi all,

My apologiges because I really don't know why my firebug 1.7.2 is
showing this message: "Resuming debugger: error during debugging loop:
TypeError: firstViewRangeElement is null". But I would like to
know if it is innofensive message or may I have a problems with my
code.

best regards

The debugger was attempting to break. In the process of bringing up
the user interface for breakpoint debugging an exception was thrown.
It bailed out and resumed execution.

This particular error means that the Script panel did not find a line
at the first viewable line of source. So I guess the source is somehow
very unusual or another extension erased the view somehow.

You can try the procedure outlined here:
http://getfirebug.com/wiki/index.php/I_found_a_Firebug_Bug!

Let us know.

I received this error in my GWT code, and while debugging I realized that it is thrown from somewhere I was setting the tool-tip for the text field.
This error went away, by removing the tool-tip before setting it again.

TextField.removeToolTip ();
TextField ().setToolTip ( newToolTip );

This thread was opened against version 1.7.2 of Firebug. If you still have that version, you should update to the latest Firefox version (25.0.1) and Firebug version (1.12.5) first.
If your problem is still occurring after that, please follow the first aid steps John linked to. After that you may report an issue including a test case, so we can reproduce the problem.
