I've been developing a web game. Firefox is my browser of choice, and firebug is by far the best tool I've found for debugging, profiling, etc.

Since the last major firefox update, however, my browser crashes if I have firebug open on page load.

This is a comparatively complex app. You can see it at https://energematrice6.com if interested. (Note that the login server does not crash--only the game server itself, which must be accessed through the login page).

This is not an issue that affects the end-user, so I can't currently afford the time to look into it, but it DOES inconvenience me.  Does anyone have any ideas as to what could be causing this?

Note that the Firebug team can't fix Firefox crashes. So you should contact Mozilla for that.
To do so, follow these steps:
  1. Send your report to Mozilla using the Mozilla Crash Reporter dialog.
  2. Go to about:crashes to see your crash.
  3. Click the upper-most link in the list of crashes.
  4. Check whether there's already a bug reported under Related Bugs.
         4. a) If there is already a report, you can follow it and try to provide more info about it, e.g. a reproducible test case.
         4. b) If there isn't a report yet, you can click one of the links under Report this bug in and create a report by your own.

More info about this can be found here:
https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/Mozilla%20Crash%20Reporter

Please also post the link to the related report here, so we can follow it.

Sebastian,

Thanks for the reply. I suspect that it's something that I've done that's just causing havoc (like loading really massive javascript arrays into the memory). I was wondering if there were any known issues with it.

I'll do what you suggested.

Thanks.
