Since updating, and turning on synch for Firefox, I can't figure out why Firebug won't activate - stays grey and says deactivated. I've reinstalled it twice. Am I missing something?

Hello,

Some questions:
- What version of Firefox do you have?
- Have you updated to Firebug 2.0?
- Do you use any Firebug extension like Illumination for Developers? (if so, update it to its last version, or disable it)

Disabling Illumination for Developers worked for me. It appears that there is no recent update for IfD, so i'll keep it off for a while...

This afternoon, someone told me that the update to v1.1.28 of Illuminations for Developers fixed his issue. Does it for you?

Yay, that worked! I disabled Illuminatio for Developers and it works again. (Firebug was totally unresponsive before that.)
So glad I posted the question - I was going crazy! Thanks.

Version 1.1.28 of Illuminations for Developers didn't get reviewed yet, so people are not automatically updated yet. Though you can download it already from the Mozilla website:

https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/addon/illuminations-for-developers/versions/1.1.28
