I am doing browser client reliability test using FF24.0 + firebug 1.11.2.  First I open the URL of a web application in FF with firebug opened, then I use selenium to simulate user actions for 12 hours, After that, I wanna check the console output to see if during the 12 hours long run ,any error msg in this console, But , unfortunately, firebug just hung, when I click the "console" button, Firefox is asking for closed!!

Is there any plan to log this console output into local file synchronously. I have tried the console ouput, but when the firebug console hung, nothing can be saved to the local file. Synchronously log the console output into the local file is what I am urgently need.

Thanks and Best Regards!

There is  Firebug extension that allows to export console content:
http://www.softwareishard.com/blog/consoleexport/

It doesn't support sync export, only async, but it could be relatively easy to
add that feature.

Here is the place where a Console listener is called (synchronously) when a log in the Console panels happens and where a packet is send to a server side (asynchronously).

https://github.com/firebug/consoleexport/blob/master/chrome/content/consoleexport/consoleListener.js#L54

There could be another logic/feature (hidden behind a new preference by default I guess) saving the log also into a locale file ...
