Now that Firefox 30 has been released, I noticed that a correspondingly new version of Firebug was also available to me, and downloaded it. (Chances are, it's been available for a while, but I don't follow prerelease channels.)  However, on upgrading, I noticed a minor annoyance.  My preexisting declared preference in regard to the location of the main Firebug button was summarily trashed, and the button was put back at its default position at the right end of the address bar.  Is there a reason for this?  Is there some bug with the placement of the button, perhaps, that requires the user's preferences to be reset to ensure that the button is visible and fully functional?  (Because that's the only scenario I can imagine where ignoring the user's preferences could be justified.)

One possible reason for this could be that the error badge on the Start Button has separate functionality in Firebug 2.0. See issue 4001 for more info.
This change also caused some other display problems, which were fixed before the 2.0 release, though.
