In FF30 with Firebug2.0
  • This bug doesn't allow me to continue using firebug at all, I am forced to use chrome's inspector.
  • When I remove a breakpoint, it shows that it has been removed but sometimes it continues breaking in that line, even if I refresh page or close and reopen firebug. This is really annoying, since I have to restart firefox every time.
  • Once the command line was visible bellow HTML tab (html dom inspector) and was even able to resize it. It went away after restarting FF.

I don't know what really happened with the combination of FF30 and Firebug2.0 but it stops me from using it.I don't have the time, nor I feel like digging into bugs to properly report them, since I've lost enough productive time already fighting with it. I reset all settings but problems seem to be persistent.

I have the following addons enabled: Adblock plus 2.6.3, Colorzilla 2.8, Disconnect 3.14.0, Faviconizetab 1.0.6, Firebug 2.0, Firequery 1.4.1, Greek spelling dictionary 0.8.5, gTranslate 0.9, ImageZoom 0.6.3, Multilinks 3.0.0.19, TamperData 11.0.1, WebDeveloper 1.2.5.

If there is something I need to do, please let me know. I like this addon and want to continue using it, but not under these circumstances. Thanks guys for the effort so far.

About your first point, you can read in that link that it's due to a bug in Firefox itself, you have to wait for the next Firefox.

I also have lots of troubles sometimes with the breakpoints, it's painful trying to debug something when the debugger doesn't work as expected.

The third point is just a feature that you can find also in the other dev. tools. Besides the main "Console" tab, there's a button at its left that allows to always show the Console under every tab.

Does it help if you use Firebug 2.0.1?

(not reviewed on AMO yet)
