Firebug does a weird thing

Have had a weird and confusing issue with FB FF for a while -which seems to have gone away with a reinstall.

And that was that it would default to a variety of diff panes, when opened and also display the "inherited from" focus in the HTML pane. Making it impossible to find the actual tweaks I am and have made.

Any thoughts?

I don't know what you mean by "variety of diff panes", but if you had Firebug extensions
installed than re-installing (in a new Firefox profile) might help yes. It can also solve
problems in case of broken Firefox profile.
