Firebase one to one chat

I am building a simple chat application and i would like to know if there is a possibility of running a chat application(private) without the use of any external server except firebase. I have managed to write data to firebase and define to which parent should be added to.....Can someone give me a sample code of how to deliver the message from the server to a specific recepient.Is there a possibility

Yes, this is definitely possible and is exactly what Firebase is built for. Luckily for you, we have a lot of sample chat code for you to work with. For a simple little chat application, check out Firebase Cloud Chat. For a more full-featured example, take a look at Firechat. I'd also suggest you read through our Firebase guide docs to get a better understanding of how Firebase works.

and the examples you have given are for group chats....can u please if its possible for a private chat(one to one) and again in android

Hey Praveen,

We also have a similar Firechat implementation for Android. It is called AndroidChat.  Even if it is for group chats, you can easily add some Security and Firebase Rules to limit the number of participants to two.
