Unable to update value in firebase database

Hello, i really need help, i have tried many ways to code in order to try update my data through android device but still cannot be updated, even i try to modify or update some values in the console of firebase database directly. that value will be able to update or modify only if i close my app, wait for a moment and open the app again. i have made sure that my database rules already set read ,write : true;

My Logical apps: i am using Firebase auth google, to get email, image, name, and UID, after get the UID the apps will check UID is already exist in database real-time in table User or not, if exist then the apps will retrieve data on table User if not the apps will only display data of user from Google auth and create new user in user table in Firebase database, then if I wanna edit that data I put retrieve first data from Firebase database into edittext, I I wanna edit that data I can do it directly in edittext. 

 

Please help me, i have been stucking for more than a week.

Hello Masfaruddin,

It sounds like your app is probably listening for changes and doing some sort of update that's overwriting the remote data. That is supported by the fact that it works if you close the app while making the change.
