Passing utm_content in Firebase and BigQuery

I am currently looking at putting utm_content in Firebase dynamic link for tracking different ad creatives:

• I can see utm_content is supported in list of paramters here: https://firebase.google.com/docs/dynamic-links/create-manually#parameters
• I can also see content field is available in Firebase parameter list: https://firebase.google.com/docs/reference/android/com/google/firebase/analytics/FirebaseAnalytics.Event#CAMPAIGN_DETAILS

I want to know:

• How do I push the utm_content into Firebase report? I can only see source / medium / campaign in my reports now (also the dynamic link generator). Do I need to update my app code to parse the dynamic link and push the utm_content param to its respective field?
• How to make this utm_content data available in my Firebase export to BigQuery? In the BigQuery export schema, I can only see source / medium / campaign but not content field.

Hi Raymond, hard to tell without knowing what your link looks like and what you're doing with it on the app side.

One common error here is not url encoding parameters on the deep link. For example, this wouldn't work as expected:

https://sample.page.link/?link=https://www.sample.com&utm_source=test

But this would: https://sample.page.link/?link=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.sample.com%26utm_source%3Dtest
