I just updated to v15 (from v12.0.1) and I'm getting

java.lang.UnsupportedOperationException: addOnCanceledListener is not implemented

while trying to download a file using

Tasks.await(pathReference.getFile(file));

This was working on v12.0.1

Thanks
Nicolas

Hi Nicolas,

Thanks for the report.  We are aware of some Task-related issues in Firebase Storage in 15.0.0 and are working on them.  I will add your feedback to our internal discussion.

Thanks Samuel, I was told to file a bug report (I joined Slack yesterday) and they told me they are investigating it

I think it was resolved in 16.0.1

v16.0.1 of what component?   How would we access that version (I can only reach core 15.0.2)

The issue was in the storage component. You can use 16.0.1

Ads 16.0.0 didn't work for me so I had to use 15.0.1 for it. The other versions worked just fine and the storage issue was resolved. One thing, tho, is that they removed getDownloadUrl (it's moved to the storage ref)

Same issue, fixed by upgrading Firebase Storage to 16.0.1.
