OnPause native crash in Unity 2017.4.10

Hello,

we found in Google Play Console a lot of crashes caused by thread create from com.google.android.gms.internal.measurement on activity onPause.

We are using:
  • Unity 2017.4.10f1
  • Firebase v5.2.1
  • Target API level 27
Another our games using Unity 5.3.6 or 5.3.8 with target API level 26 and same firebase distribution are not crashing on this.

Unfortunately, we are not able to reproduce this issue locally we just see reports in Google Play Console.

Hi,

no, we resolved this issue by one of these actions:
  • adding proper plugin disposing on application quit by calling: FirebaseApp.DefaultInstance.Dispose();
  • upgrading project using Unity version from 2017.4.10f1 to 2017.4.16f1
