Hey guys, I have a simple query that is taking 2000ms to execute.

Why is this happening? 2000ms to update a document.

Not sure if this is what you might be experiencing but FYI,

I can’t find the live benchmark site ATM but it used to show that crazily, firestore can suffer from cold start issues.  This is not cold starts of a cloud function or similar, but but rather, something that causes the first firestore query of a connection to be slow.  Not everyone reports this but some do.

You could try updating the document twice in succession to test this.

What region is it deployed into and are you far away geographically to it?  Is it just latency?  You can find region in project settings in firebase console.
