Same app instance id assigned to iOS and Android

Hello Team,

Did you ever encounter an issue when the same app-instance id is created for iOS and Android? We have a client with such duplications, representing 3% of their overall user count when looking into the User Explorer report.

Hi Viktoriia,

Instance IDs are generated locally so there is a chance of collisions however I've not seen any before. Also Instance ID is deprecated so I'd suggest migrating to installation IDs which are much longer and thus much less likely to collide.
