failed to resolve firebase-auth-15.0.0

 I just want to know how to resolve this kind of problem because I need to connect my app to Firebase.

When I add this Implement implementation com.google.firebase:firebase-core:16.0.4 , I lose my connection to firebase

the only issue is "Add firebase Authentication to your app" isn't enable when I take 15.0.0 out of the code

Hi all,

It appears there are some bugs in the Android studio plugin.  Namely that it's adding invalid things like 'firebase-core:16.0.0:15.0.0' which can't possibly work.  The best thing to do is consult the release notes, which will tell you which is the latest and best version to use for each dependency:

I have used the latest version but  "Add firebase Authentication to your app" isn't enable

That's ok, you can move on from that step as you have already added the dependency yourself.  Just make sure to visit the Firebase console, go to the authentication section, and enable the providers that you plan to use in your app.
