Deleting Firebase Project deletes GCP project???

I connected a fire-base project to the wrong GCP project.

So I go ahead to delete the fire-base project and it tells me that it shows me a prompt

saying that the related info will be deleted.  I agree thinking it's talking about Fire-base related project info.

I go into GCP and find that my project has been deleted as well?  I did not want/do not want firebase deleting

my GCP project.  How can I revert back?
