Firebase Cloud Messaging combining user segment and topic

Hello Firebase Community,

I am using the messaging composer to create a campaign, but I have encountered a problem. The Target option only seems to work for one condition. If I set it to "user segment," the "Topic" is being ignored, and vice versa. I would like to know if there is a way to set both user segment and topic at the same time.

Hi Roger,

I'd recommend using one to be a superset of the other. Topics is primarily an FCM feature while user segments is an analytics feature. I can see why you may want to combine them in targeting but currently they are quite separate so you should choose whichever targeting option works best for you and use that one.
