Can’t authorise twitter

When I click the authorise button, literally nothing happens.
I’m running OS X Mojave, 10.14.6. Tried uninstalling and re-downloading, even tried an older version of fireant too just to see, but still the same. Good old power cycle made no difference.
What am I missing? Is it compatibility?

Hi,

Is your computer behind a proxy? I know that neither I nor my students can authenticate when they use FireAnt from the university's wifi network. In that case, you may have more success using your mobile phone as a hotspot just for the authentication process. Once this is done, a key_file.json is generated on your computer and you can use FireAnt from any network.

Hi Kelly and Florent,

I seem to have completely missed this thread. FireAnt works fine on Mac *except* with the latest version of the OS. It seems that Apple changed something in the OS that breaks AntConc. I'm looking at a solution but it's going to take some time. On Windows, everything works fine but Kelly's comment about the dangers of proxies is true. FireAnt cannot access the Internet if a university is locking the system via a proxy server.
