Not that I care, but because of the fact of receiving emails as a member of this list and the compulsion to answer the rhetorical question on what is the future of Filter Meister?

The answer is simple, read all over internet, make the evaluation and understand that Adobe is in crisis. After 3-5 years it will become same as Nero Burning ROM or Sound Forge or any similar software. There are alternatives that will make things better if not the same for little or no money. Greater subscription prices point to greater problems that Adobe faces. Nothing has been extended and still in stale mode beginning from their UXP to the upgrades of Substance Designer. Why? Because GPUs are so advanced that neither is needed anymore.

Ah, about the future of Filter Meister, you tell me...

Hi,

The development of FM has come to a standstill, but with what is available, you can create fantastic things, primarily for personal use. The ability to easily intervene in digital images yourself is a major added value. I very regularly use my own custom-made tools for additional image corrections or graphic patterns. Without FM, I would miss a lot of possibilities.

It depends on how you view FM. It is a digital toolbox, just as you might own a tool case at home with pliers and screwdrivers to build or repair something yourself. You cannot compete with a specialized craftsman with this. The question of whether tool cases therefore still have a future is irrelevant. They are supplementary applications. It would be a shame if pliers or screwdrivers were no longer sold anywhere...

FM, into what it has evolved, mainly lacks a new 'Getting Started' manual, less naive and with a more professional approach. For smooth operation, it is important to compile a good filter base, into which the core codes can subsequently be entered. I promise to make time to post an additional inspiring handbook and some filter bases.

Regards, Paul

For you Paul maybe it is a screwdriver, but for the new generations, it is just an irritating tool that never did or will ever do anything useful. I totally agree with Ledvinka. You are old minded, no offense.

Writing "no offense" doesn't make your ignorant comment any less offensive. Don't say things like that please.

Dickens,

No offense? ... Wow! You were offensive or at least overly blunt twice in just three sentences.

What are you doing on this list if you find FilterMeister so irritating, anyway?

Did you know you can unsubscribe from this list by sending an email to: filtermeiste...@googlegroups.com from your baba...@gmail.com emailaccount?
If email is too ancient for you, since you use a gmail address you can also use a webbrowser, sign in to 'googlegroups' and delete the FilterMeister Mailing List.

What kind of person joins a group mailing list for no reason other than to trash-talk somebody who was answering a question?

These are really impressive Lance!

I especially like the one in the lower-right. It’s impressive to see such organic results coming from computer graphics, which is often pretty tough to achieve.

I too found Dicken’s comment rude and uncalled for. I don’t see the point of speaking like that to anyone.

Hope everyone’s doing well.

Richard
