I had occasion to fly through some rain the other day. Just one little band of rain between me and home. I never tape the battery lid so a few drops of water was on top of one of the batteries after I landed. After passing through the rain I ran the motor a little to get down to 50% as I wanted to leave the batteries half full. Everything worked fine before landing. The next day I was taking the batteries out of the glider and I thought I would make sure they were at 50% and one of them would not come on. No BMS light, error or self test, nothing. I put the battery out in the sun for a couple of hours and then brought it into the hangar and turned it on. The fans came on and the BMS light flashed but no self test. The next day everything was normal. Be careful about moisture and the batteries. Of course electricity and water don’t mix and I think I will think twice before I fly into any rain. Maybe I will try to waterproof the lid. I know the manual says to stay away from lightening and of course that’s prudent. Dooley

Manual say always tape the cover. And I always tape it.
