Looking thru all the historical posts and I must be missing something. I am finding many 'published' timestamps as a negative number.

An example is from the same feed two random entries has the following 'published' timestamps:
204638432
-1163386864

Documentation states:
published
timestamp the timestamp, in ms, when this article was published, as reported by the RSS feed (often inaccurate).

My research leads me to understand the number should represent the number of milliseconds from from 1/1/1970. How can this ever be negative?

Thanks in advance.

  Hi Brad,
Do you have some sample feeds/articles that have a negative published date?
This number can be negative if the feed reports a publish date before 1970. As noted, these dates are often inaccurate. It is recommended to rely on the "crawled" and "updated" timestamps instead.
  Hope this helps.
