Numerical Fire Simulations using Fire Dynamics Simulator. New textbook in Russian

Hello everyone.
I would like to make a small announcement. Our team at Peter the Great St Petersburg Polytechnical University has recently published a textbook “Numerical Fire Simulations using Fire Dynamics Simulator”.
It is
currently available only in Russian. However, hopefully, we will translate
it at some point.
Anyone who is interested can assess the materials at https://github.com/eksmarkus/fds-textbook-2020. I personally would appreciate any feedback or any future collaboration.
This was an attempt to gather together the information we give to our undergraduate students when teaching them CFD fire modelling. The textbook includes three practical tasks and one coursework. Each task is preceded by a short theoretical summary of a corresponding discipline of the thermophysical background of fire phenomena. It includes transient heat conduction in solids, non-premixed buoyant turbulent burning in unconfined spaces and in rooms with openings.
Reader gets acquainted with room fire regimes and learns how to use approximate numerical methods for calculation of mass transfer through opening and temperature of combustion products. The definition of fire hazard and its critical values are introduced, and the design fire approach is considered. Furthermore, an example of a design fire with an estimation of available evacuation time is given. The textbook contains a significant amount of reference data.
I must also say that this would not have been possible without the help of this Discussion Forum. Also, my sincere gratitude to the whole FDS team for answering my questions at the conferences and the 2nd Summer School on Fire Dynamics Modelling, Forschungszentrum Jülich (Germany).
