Hello, my name is Ana. I'm learning Pyrosim.
I do not know how to create stairs in pyrosim for evacuation.
How many doors should be placed in the model of the photo?
I am with the Pyrosim manual but it does not contain information regarding the evacuation and stairs part. Where is there a tutorial?
I add an image of the model, they are 2 plants.
Thank you

Thank you. I also ask you if there is any tutorial or manual available.
The error I have is the following:

Starting FDS: C:\Program Files (x86)\PyroSim 2014\fds32\fds.exe...

  2 threads available
EVAC: Emesh     1 Mesh01_evac_xxx has     1 door flow fields

ERROR: EVAC: Emesh     2 Mesh01_evac_yy needs at least one DOOR/EXIT. (CHID: house_vo1_evac)

So, you are trying to use FDS+Evac that is an evacuation module that is inside FDS.

See the manual:
http://virtual.vtt.fi/virtual/proj6/fdsevac/documents/FDS+EVAC_Guide.pdf

A temporaty Homepage (a plain text version):
http://virtual.vtt.fi/virtual/proj6/fdsevac/documents/FDS+Evac_textbased_homepage.txt

And the V&V and example input files (and manual LaTeX source) are also here:
https://github.com/tkorhon1/FDS-Evac-Guide

You need just one DOOR => ENTR (or DOOR => DOOR with EXIT_SIGN=.FALSE.) connection.
You can place the door=>entr connection "almost anywhere", but in your case the best
places are:

1) at the lower end of the upper stair flight (entr puts the agent on the
intermediate landing)

2) at the upper end of the lower stair flight (agents from the intermediate
landing go through the door=>entr connection

Case 1): Your upper stair flight (EVSS) and the door are in the upper mesh.
Int.landing (EVSS), the entr and lower stair flight (EVSS) are in the
lower mesh.

Case 2): upper mesh have now also the intermediate landing EVSS.

Note: You should add some kind of walls or railings on the stair flight and the
intermediate landing so that the agents are not dropping down.

Follow the instructions given here, if you have problems:

Direct link to the FDS+Evac Readme_InputErrors-file: http://virtual.vtt.fi/virtual/proj6/fdsevac/documents/Readme_InputErrors.txt

The error message means that you do not have any exit doors in the upper mesh.
So, when you add the DOOR=>ENTR connection, the door will be in the upper mesh
and you do not get that error message anymore.
