Problem with run very simple case in FDS 6.5.3

Dear All,

I would like to run a large case on FDS 6.5.3., total number of cells around 6 mln. This case works with version 6.4.0 but doesn't work with version 6.5.3.

I found that problem is concerned with one mesh. I have prepared simple case with this probably wrong mesh.

&HEAD CHID='b', TITLE='simple'/

&TIME T_END=10.0/

&MESH ID='MESH28-a01', IJK=120,36,51, XB=-14.4,9.6,-6.6,0.6,-4.8,-5.4 /

&TAIL /

And FDS 6.5.3. doesn't starts. Error has occurred after Completed Initialization Step 2. but this case runs with version 6.4.0. properly.

I am sorry. I make mistake in editing, should be:

&HEAD CHID='b', TITLE='simple'/

&TIME T_END=10.0/

Zmin is larger than Zmax. It shouldn't run in either version.

Do not use negative values in the Z coordinates, this is a big and will be fixed in the coming release soon.

Doesn't work. :(

Ok I presume you are using Linux right?

If so in terminal type : ulimit -a

and share the results.

Alright as I expected it. Do this in terminal:

ulimit-s unlimited

On the same terminal run the case. It should run. However if you close it you need to repeat it. So to make it last you have to

1) put it in your .bashrc file (you find it in your home directory) open it with an editor and paste that line there,

2) then close it and log off and login again, now it should be permanent.

Try it and let me know.
