Open to an October visit?

Dear fellow Upper School Administrators,

I hope your summer has given you an opportunity to get away and enjoy life outside of school.  I am writing to ask you a small favor. I have asked our teachers in the Upper School to visit another school on our In-Service day, Friday, October 17th, and am hoping that if you are in session that day, you might host a few Shorecrest teachers.  They would spend a half day or full day going to a few classes and hopefully having some conversations with members of your department during free periods.  The goal is for each department member to come back with ideas and observations culled from the good work that is being done at your schools, that might in turn influence our curriculum and teaching here at Shorecrest. Hopefully these conversations would be beneficial to both parties.

Please let me know if you are in session on that day and if you are willing to have a couple of tag-a-longs for a day. We are happy to reciprocate, and welcome any teachers to visit us here at Shorecrest on another day.

Hi Tom,

Feel free to consider us as a possibility. However, your teachers should be prepared for some chaos if they come to Tampa Prep that day. We have a half day of classes, ending at 11:50. It is a spirit week, so I don't know what you would see in terms of dress code. Our kids will likely be scattered, but if I have not scared you off, let me know. We are happy to host visitors any time we can make it work. Those types of professional development opportunities help both sides. Enjoy the last wisps of summer!
