Language for Uniform

Dear Fellow Administrators,

I am currently reviewing the school handbook regarding uniform. Those of you who have a uniform policy, what do you say about hair length?

This is our policy. I'm not sure it's perfect, but it is what we have:

Hair: Males must be neatly groomed, with hair away from the face and longer hair in a ponytail. Females should also be neatly groomed with hair away from the face. Extremes in hair color, style, and fashion are prohibited.
