Good Monday afternoon to all,

I hope that this message finds you and yours well after the events of the last few days. Certainly we are all holding our neighbors around Georgia and the Southeast in our thoughts in the wake of such tremendous loss and destruction.

As we turn the corner into October I wanted to send a notice that the date of the October Interagency meeting has been changed to Friday, October 18th. This is in light of the fact that the week of the regularly scheduled meeting is Fall Break for CCSD and some other area counties and we knew this might affect attendance. Please make a note of this on your calendars.

We are still working to confirm the location as our friends at the library get their "technology makeover" and will update as soon as we have details.

Since this is a place of collaboration, I did want to take a mission moment to share that the Food Bank of Northeast Georgia, along with other food banks, is sending a box truck of water every day this week to those who have been impacted in Augusta.  If you are able/interested in providing water for one of those trucks, please consider dropping off bottled water to:

Athens Area Chamber of Commerce

246 West Hancock Ave

Athens, GA 30601

or

The Food Bank of Northeast Georgia

890 Newton Bridge Road

Athens, GA 30607

Together, we can provide resources and hope to those affected in our state.

Erin

Good Thursday morning to all,

As a reminder there is no Interagency meeting tomorrow- October 9th. The October Interagency Meeting will take place on Friday, October 18th

We have also confirmed the location for our meeting. I would like to thank our community partners at The Cottage for hosting us this month.

Given that October is Domestic Violence awareness month, we have asked Joan Prittie, Executive Director of Project Safe, to join us as our speaker. We will also hear from our hosts at The Cottage.

Here are the details:
Additional directions provided by The Cottage: You will turn from Lexington Road onto Jail road where the police department and Clarke County Tag office are. You will continue past those buildings and see green recycle bins on your right and directly across on your left side will be the Cottage behind the fence. Just follow the road to the left and please park in any spot surrounding our building. When facing the front door, please walk to the left side of the building and enter the backyard through the gate. The conference room doors are right past the playground.

I will send another reminder next week so folks don't end up at the library.

We hope to see you there!

Sincerely,

Erin Thompson Podvin

Good Wednesday morning to all,

I hope that each of you is caring for yourself this morning. This is a friendly reminder that the November Interagency Meeting will take place this Friday, November 8th.

We will be back with our friends at the Athens-Clarke County library after a couple of months away.

We have no outside speaker this month. Please come prepared with updates, as I will have some to share as well.

Here are the details:
We hope to see you Friday!

Sincerely,

Erin Thompson Podvin
