Having just read the minutes for the first time I would like to further promote the idea of a day out in Copthorne, it has been extensively (£1m has been mentioned) remodelled in the last few months. Hundreds of trees have been removed or reduced, vistas enhanced, holes changed as a result, bunkers remodelled, rhododendrons removed … yadda, yadda, yadda. 

End of sales pitch. 

As for the timing of Petes email, it smacks of attention seeking to me - unlike this one Just saying.

Sorry  but isn’t that the person that couldn’t be arsed to organise one at his home course?

 

Les – I’m up for a visit to Copthorne. With all that remodelling is it “lipstick on a pig”, “glitter on a turd” or would you say a bit better than that?

Would anyone fancy coming over to NI in the summer and playing Rory’s home course , Holywood plus maybe one lot two other local Belfast courses. Happy to be arsed to organise it if any peeps fancy it ?

Dates permitting I’d at least discuss the idea with the wife! Seriously would love to visit.
