Hi everyone,

Last week, unfortunately, The Daily Post wrote an article in which they released the name of the student from Gunn who committed suicide. The PTAC Exec board and some PTA exec boards are cosigning a letter expressing their displeasure with the newspaper. They have asked if other PTA exec boards would like to co sign. I would like to put it to you all to see if the Fairmeadow board can join. I've included the letter below. Please let me know your thoughts. They would like to send it out on thursday the 7th.

Dear Editor,

We were deeply troubled to read an article dated Wednesday, February 28th, which included the name of the Palo Alto student who tragically passed away by suicide last week. We find it difficult to comprehend the rationale behind publishing the young person's name, considering the immense anguish it inflicts upon their family and friends.  We find it reprehensible that the Daily Post prioritizes clicks and ad revenue over the sensitivity and dignity of our community. It is disheartening that our collective grief and suffering are exploited for the sake of profit.
