Hello,
I'm new in the group and I have some questions regarding the interpretation of my results.
I have a set of categorical variables obtained from a Survey mixed with numerical data. Since I can group them into different "types" of variables I am doing an MFA.

I'm trying to understand the relationship between one of the categorical variables (Functionality = "Functional", "not functional in less than a year", "not functional in more than a year") with the rest of the data.

So I'm checking in which dimensions Functionality has a significative contribution and look at the correlations of functionality with the other variables in that dimension using the "Categories - Estimate -p.value" table (and the group representation chart)

Is this approach correct? Am I missing things?
Thank you very much!!

Hello,
Yes you are right. Do not hesitate to have a look at these videos:
Theorectical and practical informations on Multiple Factor Analysis are available in these 4 course videos:
  1. Introduction
  2. Weighting and global PCA
  3. Study of the groups of variables
  4. Complements: qualitative groups, frenquency tables

Thank you very much :)
One last question, The estimate is an indicator of a correlation?
what does an estimate higher than 1 mean?
I am considering the categories with an estimate higher than 0.6

The estimate in your case, is the estimate of the coefficient of the category in the 1-way analysis of variance (the variable Y is the coordinate of the individuals on a dimension, and the explain variable is the categorical variable you are interested in).
